SAI gives high importance on the health and hygiene of little children of Sundarbans and their mothers. It is ensured that children make it a habit of washing hands before taking foods. SAI provides soap, brush, toothpaste periodically to the marginalized families. Teachers of educational centres always keep a close watch whether students are maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. Further, mosquito nets are provided to poor families for protection from snake and insects bites. Awareness campaign are done amongst guardians on the importance of using mosquito nets.
